European Steel. Engineered, Not Assembled.
The Ramo Power solar pole range is the result of cooperation with PMF Stalen Masten by Saferoad, one of Europe's established steel mast manufacturers. These are not catalogue poles with a panel bolted on. Each mast is a conically bended S355 steel structure, tapering from a 193mm base through a sweeping curve to slender arms of 60.3mm tube, closed with welded steel plates and finished ends. The result is the elegant, wind-efficient silhouette visible in the product photography: a multi-arm pole that reads as street architecture rather than street hardware, carrying two or four luminaires from a single graceful base.
Protection Measured in Microns, Not Promises
Every pole is hot dip galvanized to EN ISO 1461, the European benchmark for structural steel protection, then powder coated in a two-layer system with a minimum thickness of 120 microns, available in RAL colours to match any streetscape or municipal identity. A reinforced 1000mm access door at the base keeps electrical components serviceable without compromising the structure, and the 290mm baseplate with four-bolt fixing gives a clean, engineered foundation interface. This is a pole specified for decades of coastal humidity and Gulf heat, with the documentation to prove it.
Solar That Clamps On. To This Pole or Yours.
The solar element mounts through a simple clamp system: a slim vertical panel fixed flush against the pole body, no brackets sprawling outward, no wind-catching frames. That clamp mounting carries a second advantage worth pausing on. It means solar power can be added not only to new PMF masts but retrofitted onto existing poles, turning an installed lighting network into a solar-assisted one without replacing a single foundation. From boulevards and plazas to parking areas and waterfront promenades, the same system scales from a single decorative mast to a full corridor.
